In the night, the father and king of the Dead Desert is killed by his first born and second son.
The First Born draws the blade of his father's knife, which was gifted to him on his thirteenth birthday, across his father's throat..
As the father bleeds to death on the floor of his house, the two brothers begin their plan of action to reclaim their kingdom, and reclaim surrounding lands which were given away by their father to the Vergebian Union.
As the sun rises, the king's death is announced, and mourners gather to pay their respects as the dead king's body is carried by his soldiers and sons to a funeral pyer to be burned. Until this moment, every king before was embalmbed and buried in the Black Mountain overshadowing the House.
The First Born is stoic, the Second Sun is smiling. His time has finally come.
